Leaving the corporate 9-5 work schedule and taking a leap into self-employment as an independent event planner, then launching a small community of 10 Lifestyle Event Concierges across the US, and collaborating on cross-marketing and cross-selling targeting the international market, truly propelled me into learning, early on, the importance of building trusted relationships with key contacts and stakeholders. I’ve developed a sound knowledge and understanding of clients and the marketplace in my prospecting and networking. I tend to listen more than speak, but am never shy about asking the important questions – nor am I afraid to leave my comfort zone and think outside the box. I adapt flexibly to the fast-paced change that is typical in our industry, and always think ahead and anticipate to help overcome my client’s challenges [before they can become problems].
